CRISH first year concludes with a Course in Grenoble, France

The fourth and last edition fo the first year of CRISH,  a course to co-create innovative health solutions, took place this December in Grenoble, France. During the year, four editionswere organised (two in Barcelona, including the first pilot course, one in London and one in Grenoble), with a total participation of over 50 people, including patients, health professionals, researchers and project managers. In addition, training resources have been developed in three languages (English, Spanish and French) and will soon be available on the project’s website under open access.

CRISH is a training exercise funded by the European initiative EIT Health and coordinated by the University of Barcelona, the Hospital Clinic and ISGlobal. The project aims to bring together different co-creation techniques, patient experience and entrepreneurship to the different stakeholders in the health sector including patients and health care workers, to develop products, processes or services that cover unmet needs in the field.

CRISH will come back in 2018 with four new editions (two in Barcelona, one in London and another one in Grenoble) and an updated course version that will include a translational medicine perspective and a MOOC (massive online open course).  The kick-off meeting of CRISH2 is scheduled for February 1-2 next year. In addition, it will be reinforced by the ELabs project, also funded by EIT Health and where ISGlobal participates, which will allow CRISH to expand into a larger consortium.

“By actively involving patients and citizens in a participative, bottom-up approach, CRISH is expected to improve health literacy, healthy life-styles, and support active ageing among the population, as well as help anticipate emerging health trends”, explain the project coordinators.
